The flame shape allows precise treatment of the cuticle, sidewalls, and lifting areas without risk of skin injury. The working parts of the bit are used as follows: the tip (“nose”) for sinus work, the flat section for cuticle cleaning, and the rounded section (“belly”) for sidewall treatment. The recommended working angle is approximately 45°.

In manicure, it is used for lifting and removing the cuticle, treating sidewalls, removing pterygium, opening sinuses, nail shaping, periungual sinus treatment, classic nail plate shaping, and creating settings for rhinestones.
